Our Wagie Ride for Tuesday

Yesterday, Catherine and I packed up our red wagon and headed to our local park for a very special wagie ride to celebrate the life of Tuesday Whitt. We were lucky that it was a bright, sunny afternoon. We chose the "zoo" park (as we like to call it) because Catherine thought that Tuesday would've liked the animal statues there.

We began our journey down the winding trail. We visited with the elephants first and then hung out with the gorillas...

We wandered further along and met up with the lions....

As we headed back down the trail, we met a lovely woman and her grandson. They were at the park celebrating a birthday with family and friends. Cat shared Tuesday's story with them. They walked with us for a bit and then went back to join their party. A little bit later, they came back with a few balloons. This beautiful woman gave them to Catherine and asked if she wanted the wind to carry them to Tuesday in Heaven. Of course, Catherine said that she would love to do that for Tuesday. She released them to the wind and then chased them until they were out of sight.

It was an incredible moment filled with amazing grace....

Thank you, dear lady, whoever you are, for sharing this celebration of Tuesday's life.

Thank you Lee and Em for creating this glorious way to honor the life of this beautiful child.

For Tuesday....all of our love and blessings....

p.s. Thank you for sharing this with us.

We didn't get the great weather you had. But we too had a wonderful Wagie day for Tuesday. I am told that the memorial service was wonderful though sad. The had a singer who sang "Somewhere over the rainbow" I'll think of Tuesday everytime I hear it and how she touched so many.
