The Bee*tch is Back!

All righty then! I've finally released all of my frustration and negativity toward blogger and feel like I can do some blogging without wanting to pitch my coffee cup at my monitor. I was so irritated by the recent blog disappearance and Google Friends Connect problem, that I couldn't even look at my laptop without growling or thinking mean thoughts about blogger. Chilly suggested since I've been in a magical mood after seeing "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" that I shoot a spell at Blogger. He thinks I should use his personal favorite, "Wingardium Idiosa" ....(It means "Fly Away, Idiots!"...yeah, he made that up all by himself....clever, isn't he?) I grabbed my cyber backpack last Friday and traveled the interwebs for days in search of answers as to why: A) My blog disappeared without warning last week ....and B) Why Google Friend Connect is being such a loser. Here's what I discovered during my travels.... *There is NO ea...

BEE-fuddled and BEE-wildered! A Blessing and a Curse!

As you may know, I am experiencing some problems with Blogger...more specifically Google Friend Connect. Yesterday, my blog was removed by Blogger, and every blog that I follow lost me as a follower ! I still have NO clue why this happened. Fortunately, I was alerted by the FaBuLoUs blueviolet that something was amiss... Shortly after the heads up from blueviolet, I started receiving tons of worried emails from bloggy friends and family. Many were concerned that something (like death!) had happened to poor Chilly. Rest assured, Chilly is alive and well...(if he doesn't start behaving, I don't know how long that will last, but for now he has a pulse!) Shame on you, Google Friend Connect (close family relative to Blogger!) for causing such a panic for my loved ones! The most amusing part of this nightmare is that once I realized what happened, I immediately tried to reconstruct my "blogilicious" list (blog roll). I'm still missing some, but am trying har...

Thankful Thursday...Memory Loss Edition

Yesterday, while driving to Irish dance, my mind was zipping through my list of 45 million things to do when all of a sudden, I started thinking about how nice it would be to have a butler ....which then made me think of this guy...(weird, I realize, but my mind is filled with lots of weirdness these days) Yes, that would be Mr. French....the world's first tv "manny". Back in the day he was called a butler, but seriously, he was all "manny." (Which would you prefer...a manny or a nanny?) I thought it would be so lovely to be greeted upon arriving home by my butler..."May I assist you with the 25 gazillion items that need to be brought in from the car, Madam?"...."Here are your keys, Madam"...(that alone, would be worth the six figure salary he asked for when I hired him...)...."How about a glass of tea, Madam?" Then he would whip up a fabulous meal while I relaxed with my tea. Sigh..... Then, being the mind wanderer that I am, I...

Thankful Thursday: A Gentle Reminder (or a brick upside the head...)

Today we are a wee bit sensitive at the Bee and Rose....you can all send your thanks to Chilly for that....(for those of you just joining our regularly scheduled programming, Chilly would be my hubster...) You see, Tuesday evening, the Chillmeister decided to interrupt my practically perfect pity party with news that he was bringing home the DVD "Seven Pounds" starring Will Smith. As he delivered this bombshell, I was in the midst of a series of "Why Me's", "What Do You Want From Me's" and other assorted mental suckage issues with God. I find it ironic that shortly after I issued my invite to the Heavens to my pity party, Chilly calls about the DVD. Mind you, he is really proud of himself because he feels he has "listened" to me during casual conversation where I mentioned once that I would like to see that movie. So he calls, and says "I have a surprise for you...yada, yada, yada" and I reply "Whatev" and get back...

Playing Hooker and Getting the Boom Boom Pow

I've been playing hooky from the world (and from blogging) with my kids this week. We are officially done with our school year! Hooray! Since we've all been through a lot with Chilly and his health stuff the last few months (not to mention all of the other stinky mojo), I decided it was time for me to spend some quality time just hanging out with my two offspring with no distractions. It can be pretty overwhelming for the kiddos watching their dad deal with his diabetes and heart condition. We just need some "down" time to chillax. My kids kept asking me if I was going to get in trouble because I wasn't blogging. Apparently, they have been tipped off about some sort of bloggy police force that may write me a ticket for non-blogging. I assured them it would be fine and that we were just going to play hooky for a few days. Later that same day, a cashier at Target asked Cat what she'd been doing for the day. She smiled at her and said, "I've been playing...

Thankful Thursday aka You Can Have Another Entry in the Monster Giveaway!

Hi! Comments are now closed for this post so we can prepare them for the drawing in the Monster Giveaway! Thank you for participating! Even though the last two days were a gigantic suck-o-rama , I realized I have so much for which I’m thankful! I am thankful that Tuesday night after the Suckfest began, Chilly took us to McDonalds for dinner so I wouldn’t have to drag myself into the kitchen in the midst of my despair. I am grateful that during the dinner conversation, the word “Automatic” came up so that Chilly and I could then say…”It’s systematic…..It’s Hyyyy-dro-matic….Why! It’s Greased Lightin’!!!” And then we broke into the whole song and dance right in the middle of McD’s. Again, my kids were completely mortified…mission accomplished! I am grateful that she didn’t show up in my bathroom this morning….(for you newbies, go here if you hate PMS …) I am thankful that I live 40 miles from Nogales, Mexico because there have been sightings of the Chupacabra down there…{{{shudder}}}.....

Thankful Thursday...Bitchville Edition

I am in a cranky mood this morning…beware….(and it’s not even “that time of the month.”) Hopefully, I can stop this crazy train to Bitchville with my “Thankful Thursday” post. Think I can do it? Hmmm…let’s give it a whirl… I am thankful for this guy…. He made watching American Idol bearable for me last night. I LOVE David Cook…love to hear him sing and his eye candy-ness (yes, I just made that a word) is suh-weet! I am thankful for Catherine’s six year old sense of humor… “Mom, do you want to play “Blend-in” Bridge? (London Bridge) “Are you guys watching “Pirates of Your Favorite Band” again? (Pirates of the Caribbean..hee hee) “Bone yard looks full today, huh?” (as we were driving by a cemetery!) I am thankful for Tween Caveboy’s newfound desire to keep his long shiny locks healthy and clean. I'm also thankful he's become an amazing Zombie Killer. (I hate flaming zombies...) I am thankful for Rae Ann @ Critical Mass for tagging me to share 7 things you may not know about me. ...
