Moon Sand and Marshmallows (aka There's No Business Like Snow Business)

Ah...snow...the lovely white winter delight...(I say that because I live in the desert and don't have to drive in it..hee hee..) It sure is pretty though, and when you haven't lived with snow for a while you tend to get a bit nostalgic about it. I used to live it in not so long ago and actually grew up in it....see? I have proof! (Check out our funky 60's style!) Now, I know you're thinking.."Wow, that's some deep snow there, sister! How ever did you manage?" Look, it's the only picture I got with any snow in it from my childhood, ok? (Yeah, Mom...I'm talking to you.....I lived back east for a couple of years and I got thousands, do you hear me?....thousands of snow kid pictures....yeah, that's right, Mom...) Sooo, where was I? Oh, yeah, snow....I love it....love to watch it fall, love to walk in it, love to make stuff out of it. We lived in Ohio for a couple of years and my son (who had never seen snow before) flipped out when we had our firs...

Cat Quips

Cat: "Here's a picture for you, Mama!" Mommy: "It's awesome, lovie!" Cat: "I made it for you cause I think you are special..I really do, Mom!" Mommy: (sniffle, sniffle) "You're the best, Catherine." Cat: "I know. Are you gonna put it on your blog now?" (Does this kid know how to market her art, or what?)

Christine..The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

This post is dedicated to Chilly. (that would be my husband..or 3rd kid on most days...) There is a member (choke..snort...giggle) of our family that we don't talk about much. She's much like the crazy, obnoxious, aunt who dresses in flashy clothes that you hate to invite for the holidays, but is kind of a necessary evil in your family. On occasion you may have heard Chilly speak these phrases... "Don't touch the paint!" "Christine is mad at you." "Christine needs a bath." "Christine wants some new stuff." and so on. You may have wondered, "Who the heck is Christine? Does Minnie (that would be me, the wife) know about her?" Sadly, I do know about Christine. Here's what I know... A few years back, my husband called me from work, giggling like a school girl who just discovered her latest crush. "Hey Minnie! You're not going to believe what I just found!" Oh @$#%...it can't possibly be what I think it migh...

Hi Auntie G!!!

Peek-a-boo, Auntie G! I see you stalking me!!!! love,

I'm a Happy Hooker

I have a confession.... I'm a run-away. Now, don't get all worried, family members. I have returned home. I am exhausted, delighted and took up some new hobbies while I was "away." I became a hooker and a stalker. Don't go all judgemental on me now. Stalking is actually pretty fun! I highly recommend it. I learned a lot on my stalking adventures! I "met" some very nice people (even if they don't really know who I am.) Don't worry...I am weaning myself away from my stalker tendencies. The hooker part is a bit tougher...cause I like it....being hooked, that is...on blogging. Wait a New York minute...did you think? I mean...that I...Puh-lease, people! Get your dirty minds out of the gutter! (That means you, Chilly!) Blogging is like taking a vacation to a place you never even knew existed, but once you arrive, you never want to leave. I have seen so much creativity, felt so much kindness and have been blown away by all the support fellow bloggers sh...
