Freaky Just Got Fabulous!

After a bit of a hiatus created by a series of very unfortunate events, Bee is back and ready to blog!  What better way to conquer the frustrations of life than to have a party!

Miss Catherine turned 8 last week and we celebrated over the weekend with a Monster High themed bash at Pump It Up! Pump It Up is an inflatable play arena...we had the whole arena filled with jumping castles, obstacle courses, and giant slides reserved just for our party guests!  It was a blast!

Coming down the ginormous slide!

(I made personalized student ID party favors for each of the guests!)

After an hour of crazy bouncing fun, we headed into to the "Creepeteria" for pizza and cupcakes!

My new favorite cupcake topper...the candy crown cupcake pick
These little tasty beauties were made by yours truly!

Monster High student "Lagoona Blue", daughter of the Creature from the Black Lagoon,  came by to visit our birthday girl and her guests!

We set up a birthday wishes photo matte for party guests to sign! I just purchased a blank matte from Michaels, added a few of my own decorations and voila!  I'll add a photo of Catherine with her guests, frame and hang in her room as a keepsake!

It was an amazing day filled with loving family and friends!
Happy Birthday, my sweet girl!

I don't know what Monster High is...(we don't have cable t.v, wait, is it still called cable now that everything is digital?)

But YOU my, dear are super mom. So much for letting someone else decorate or going to the store for everything for some canned theme!
Hope everything is alright! And that party looks fabulous! Thank you for visting me during my hiatus!

Your such a wonderful bloggy friend. Though the lack of comments on my part I have been stalking you ;)

Gosh that looks like so much fun. Kids have their parties so sweet and simple. Just throw in some cake, balloons and some jumping around and they're good. Gotta miss and love those good ol' days huh! I am glad the birthday turned out so well though!

Tuesday's Tribute...Heartbeat..It's a Lovebeat

Yet Another Jay and Deb Production. I am paying my Tuesday's Tribute to Chilly. Today we celebrate our first Heartaversary. What is a Heartaversary, you ask? Well, settle in with a cuppa and let me weave a tale of wonder... One year ago today I was pacing the waiting room floor of University Medical Center in Tucson waiting for my husband’s surgeon to inform me if Chilly had survived his triple bypass. I’ll spare you the sordid details of how all this came about. I’ll just say that it was very fast and unexpected. The prospect of losing my spouse in my early 40’s wasn’t in my plan obviously. My plan was more of a “hanging with the kiddos, going to the Renaissance Faire, beating my son at Guitar Hero, driving my husband crazy for decades” kind of plan. But God always has a bigger plan for us. In this case, he was trying to keep Chilly on the planet for a while longer. As I have written before, Chilly has had two very challenging years. He has been a diabetic for a couple of decade
