Did You Know Tuesday...Luck of the Irish Edition

Let's get right to the "Did You Know" fun, shall we?

DID YOU KNOW...
that I have been blessed by the luck of the Irish lately?  I have won 3 giveaways in the last two weeks!! Check me out!  I won an $80 gift card to CSN Stores from Otin...a $25 Gift Card to Krogers from Polka Dot Moon (who has a very cool etsy shop btw...) and this morning I won a $60 gift card to CSN Stores from Shannon over at It's Trickey!   I'm hoping this arrives any day now!

DID YOU KNOW...

that this photo of Catherine (who looks psychotic here) and her dance teacher, Caitlin (whom she adores), was taken only an hour before Irish Dancer Girl came down with major illness and had to leave her dance competition?  She could only complete 3 out of 8 dances, poor girl!  We had to high tail it back to Tucson for recuperation asap!  She's doing much better now, thank goodness!

DID YOU KNOW...
that I HATE clowns?  (my evil sister sent me that magnet a while back...grrr...)  My sweet friend Meg shared this little goodie with me...

(amen to that!)  I was checking out Scope's blog and discovered that the
that the first week in August is National Clown Week.  {{{shudder}}}  He shared this "lovely" clown dinner portrait with his dear readers.  What followed after that portrait has caused me nightmares for days!

Go here to check it out...seriously...(well wait until you're done with my post, then go there because I have an important announcement to make!)

Did You Know...

that today is Teen Caveboy's 14th birthday!!!  Happy Birthday, Connor!!!!! You are the most amazing son in the entire universe! I love you!
(you know you're probably getting that red velvet cheesecake...don't you....)

XoXo

Ick! Clowns don't always scare me, Unless they are meant to look evil.
I'm not a huge fan of clowns. They don't scare me, so much as I don't find them amusing. They tend to be a bit creepy.

Hope your Irish Dancer is on the mend and Happy Birthday to Caveboy!

That Clown Last Supper picture is the scariest think I've ever seen. And it looks like Pennywise -- the clown that still haunts my dreams -- is front and center.

Gee, thanks Dawn.

I think you need to send me proof that red velvet cheese cake exsists. You can just send a piece over night in the mail...be sure to keep it cold.

To say I am astonished and humbled by the incredible support of my blog from fellow bloggers, friends and family would be an ginormous understatement! I am truly, deeply grateful that ya’ll stop by and visit me! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

(I had this scheduled to post at midnight, but for some reason, it didn't! I got up to check it about 1:30 am and discovered blogger's mischief! Sorry if you came by then!)

All righty then…do you have a cup of coffee, hot cocoa, tea, martini? How about a masseuse? You’re gonna need it! It’s my 100th post and by the time you are done reading it, you’ll probably feel as old and tired as Rip Van Winkle! You know me and my long winded rambley-ness! A Wee Drop of Irish (or Cloudy With a Chance of B*tchy Part 2)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! How about a wee stroll down memory lane?  Thank you to everyone who messaged me about sharing this blast from the past again this year:)  (yes, Maureen...I do read your emails too!)  Even though it was originally posted in 2009, not too much has changed (says Dawn in her "I can't believe I have PMS every single year at this same time"  happy (think Pharrell singing "Happy") voice.  So grab a cup of Irish coffee, Jameson whiskey, Guinness or whatever suits your fancy on this fine St. Patrick's Day and let me share a tale of whimsy with you.  (and may the luck of the Irish be with you if you come my way today!  Don't say I didn't warn you!)

Oops! What's she doing here again? Wasn't she just here a month ago? UGH! The nerve! We had so much "fun" last time she was here, didn't we?

Well, since I have a full day of Irish activities planned, I guess I better be gettin' my Irish on....hmm...let's s…

Chilly Update...

I hate this disease with a passion...more on that in a moment...

First and foremost, there aren't enough words in the English language to convey my most sincere gratitude for the amazing love and support you've all shared with my family. I am completely overwhelmed and very humbled by it all. I've shared all of your comments and emails with Chilly and the kiddos. It has meant so much to us! Thank you, thank you and thank you again!

I wish I could write that Chilly is fine and coming home tomorrow. I wish I could go back to last Friday when every fiber of my being was screaming at me that Chilly was having a heart attack. I wish I would have pinned him to the ground and shoved an aspirin down his throat when he put me off about his symptoms. I wish he would have agreed to go to the ER...Sadly, I can't turn back time...

We were told today that Chilly has suffered a stroke in addition to a heart attack. These two events occured together...meaning, he had the stroke w…
