Well, Twitter Dee Dee...This and That Thursday...



Well, bless my bloggy heart! I opened my email this morning to find 13 new followers for me on Twitter! I must admit this makes me feel a wee bit paranoid because I don't tweet. That's right, I said I don't tweet....I know, I'm a techno-dinosaur...

As I've mentioned before, I opened a Twitter account when I began blogging...that was the extent of my twittering. Being a newbie, I didn't understand the whole tweet thing so I basically forgot about it....until this morning...when 13 strangers decided all at once to follow my non-tweeting Twitter. Don't get me wrong....I've had some bloggy friends follow me on Twitter...that's cool...I know who they are and maybe someday I will tweet away with them! The 13 that joined me overnight?....not a clue who they are! Is it possible there's some weird Tweet conspiracy going on here??? What the Tweet!?! (Thank you, Twitter 13, for following me! I'm not sure I understand what's going on, but thanks anyway!)

I have had the same thing happen to me on Twitter! I literally Tweeted once about 7 months ago. That's it!! And I still get people following me everyday. I don't understand!

No kidding. I have a Twitter account but don't Tweet (LOL, I crack myself up). And, here lately, I've gotten more followers - ppl I don't know... Strange.

I did the same thing with my Twitter account. I was getting followers for saying nothing. Now I am a Twitter addict!

I saw that video too. It's so cool!

Twitter followers come and go as far as I can tell. The real ones stick around, the spammers take off when they see you're not interested.

Twitter is pretty wild, I agree. I tweeted that we won some blue jays tickets, and the next thing I knew the TO Blue Jays were following me on twitter. I am sure they enjoy my little tweets:)

I have a Twitter account, and enjoy sending out tweets, but really don't understand all the lingo that goes with it. What does the # stand for? And what does RT mean? I only recently figured out what the @ symbol does.

I always check out the new followers on Twitter and if it looks to be spam or isn't someone I've chatted with elsewhere, I block 'em.

Neat vid....saw it around elsewhere at one point. Getting late so the brain's not thinkin straight right now.

Just be careful. I've had like five or six strangers Follow me, only to find they have nasty profile pics of various s - e - x -u -a l poses. I go in there and look at my list weekly now, to weed them out. Ewww.

I agree! The twitter thing is so much more impersonal than blogging... and the randow people showing up (esp. when I rarely tweet myself) kinda freaks me out!!
