Did You Know Tuesday....Fun and Frippery!

Welcome to another installment of "Did You Know Tuesday"! DYKT is my sneaky way of creating a post out of a bunch of jibberish because I'm unable string together more than a couple of coherent thoughts at any given time these days. (stupid perimenopause!)

ReAdY? SeT! GO!

DID YOU KNOW....that I won this gorgeous boucle scarf from Ally over at Laughadaisy?? I cannot wait to wear it this fall!!! Look how cute it's packaged! I hope you'll swing on by her Etsy shop for a visit! Lots of cute stuff over there! Thank you again, Ally! I LOVE IT!

(you can buy this here....)

DID YOU KNOW....that it's not very kind to be judgemental toward homeschooling families...especially if you own or work at an educational resource store? If I am shopping in your store for my home classroom, it's very rude to physically push me aside (yes, I was physically brushed aside) to help (and this is a direct quote) the "real teachers." I am a REAL teacher, dumbass, and because of your rudeness I spent my classroom dollars elsewhere. Oh, and by the way, rude store person....I know LOTS of public & private school educators in Tucson who will no longer frequent your establishment. Snap!

DID YOU KNOW....that I am more like Betty...

than Veronica.....How about you?? Are you a Betty or are you more of a Veronica?

DID YOU KNOW....I get all "verklempt" when I watch this movie trailer???

(We interrupt our regular posting for a bit of bribery and nagging....Please bear with us during our mental breakdown....)

(ooops! how did that get in here???)

Begging (and hypnosis) will now commence....

As I pleaded and groveled about yesterday, I am this week's Featured Reader over at the fabulous blog, La Dolce Vita! Hooray!

La Dolce Vita

The begging and pleading via hypnotic mind control is for the votes I need from my lovely bloggy friends so that I may win this....

I really, really would love to win this!! I would be ever so grateful if you would clickety on over and vote for me! Here...I'll make it easy peasy for ya....Just click HERE! I can receive votes daily on that post for up to 7 days! I offered up some bribes yesterday...scroll down for details....

Thank you to those who've voted already! It really means alot to me!

DID YOU KNOW....that I wish you a Happy Tuesday? Well, I do!

xoxo

I banged Betty & Veronica! PIMP! lol Love you w/ all My heart Bee, but typically home school children (the ones I know) are FREAKSHOWS! But if ANYONE can do it right I bet you can!

great randomness.. and happy tuesday too!!!

You'd think that people in those types of stores would be much more polite, especially if there's another of the same type of store nearby.

The scarf is GORGEOUS!! And I left you some comment love so that you can win!!

Oh I also got choked up during that trailer. Both times! What is the deal there?

I think I am a Betty too.

Good luck with the necklace Bee.

Your posts are always so full of information that I start thinking of comments immediately, but by the time I get to the end, I can't remember everything I wanted to comment on. It's a very entertaining process though. ;)

I SOOOO Want to see 'Where the Wild Things Are'! Pathetic as it sounds, I saw the trailer in the theater and as soon as I saw his costume, I knew exactly where the preview was headed! I nearly cried with excitement over the possibilities - but they better be very very careful not to ruin it or I think they will have a lot of tearful and pissed off adults on their hands.

I love that t-shirt! I can't believe you were treated so rudely! And why does the shop owner even give preference since everyone walking in is a potential customer - STUPID!

I will head over and check out your feature... oh and vote!

Hmm....well that would put you in competition against me at La Dolce Vite...BUT...I guess I'll go comment for you. ;)

I cannot believe someone at a store said you weren't a real teacher. You're more than a teacher, you have to know everything, not just a specialized age or subject.

I'm more like Jughead.

I voted again for you! You know between those two, I don't have a clue. For some reason, that's one show and comic I never got into.

I am off to vote for you!!! The necklace is fabulous!!

I can not believe the dumb clerk insulted you!!! What the heck??? I am sure the store manager would be aghast at her behavior but it is not worth your time to tattle on her. I would also just shop some where else.
Fabulous scarf and I am LOVING that t-shirt! We need some at our house! I am sooooooo angry that you were pushed aside for the "real teachers"!! Unbelievable! Good for you for spending your money somewhere else, Sweets!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! Stop by and check out my lamp makeover!:) I will be posting later tonight... Lori

I like this. Sometimes randomness is just the way to go.

Definitely Betty. I can't believe he is going to marry Veronica!

I so voted for you again!!!
I love the homeschool t-shirt, and OMG about the rude person! Lots of others will appreciate your money much more than that, I just don't know about customer service anymore.
And I guess I am a Betty.

No worries! I've totally been having blogger following issues with people too!

So, I guess mothers aren't considered "real teachers" then - especially the ones that home school? So mother's that put in a serious investment into their children's education aren't "real teachers"? What a Turd Ferguson! Never shop at that establishment again!

I'm half Betty and half Veronica I'd say.

So excited for Where the Wild Things Are!!

OMG i can't believe you were shoved! Awful!

I'll go vote...

I can't believe the clerk at the store was rude! I mean...it is not good business. Stupid lady. Opps...I tell my kids not to use that word, but I think it fits:)

I couldn't see the trailer. So, I am out of the loop.

have not seen the trailer yet....but we LOVE the book...and I know my boys and I will be watching that one!!! My youngest just recently got into the book....I know he will love it!....a classic!
Adorable post, I always adore your "did you" know entries. I'm a Betty hands down too, but I like to imagine what it would like to keep Betty's kind, giving spirit but have Ronnie's fortune. Think of all you could do for Riverdale and beyond :)

Have a beautiful evening, my dear!

That scarf looks super soft, I want to see a pic of you in it!

That and the homeschool t-shirt! Wear it proud girlie!

Tuesday's Tribute...Heartbeat..It's a Lovebeat

Yet Another Jay and Deb Production. I am paying my Tuesday's Tribute to Chilly. Today we celebrate our first Heartaversary. What is a Heartaversary, you ask? Well, settle in with a cuppa and let me weave a tale of wonder... One year ago today I was pacing the waiting room floor of University Medical Center in Tucson waiting for my husband’s surgeon to inform me if Chilly had survived his triple bypass. I’ll spare you the sordid details of how all this came about. I’ll just say that it was very fast and unexpected. The prospect of losing my spouse in my early 40’s wasn’t in my plan obviously. My plan was more of a “hanging with the kiddos, going to the Renaissance Faire, beating my son at Guitar Hero, driving my husband crazy for decades” kind of plan. But God always has a bigger plan for us. In this case, he was trying to keep Chilly on the planet for a while longer. As I have written before, Chilly has had two very challenging years. He has been a diabetic for a couple of decade
