Tuesday's Tribute and More Ways to Win the Monster Giveaway!

Hi! Comments are now closed so we can prepare to announce the giveaway winners!
Thanks for participating in the Monster Giveaway!

First, thank you so much for the many, many kind words and lovely comments on my 100th post! It made my day! (especially since my day was a huge suckfest in real life! I tried something new yesterday....having a migraine...yeah, I love trying new things....)

Next, welcome to all of my new followers! Wow! I am honored! I hope you like it here!

I want to give a special shout out to my very special bloggy friend, Shalee Be Speechless! She was my very first follower, and I will always be so grateful to her. Please go read her blog! She is adorable! I love you, Shalee!

My Tuesday’s Tribute is dedicated to Tween Caveboy, Irish Dancer Girl, Chilly and their very close friend, Sarcasm. Don’t get me wrong here. I mean no disrespect. Sarcasm has brought a lot of joy to my life. It has been a dear sweet friend and brought much needed comic relief to our home, especially since Chilly developed his heart issues.

I will share with you a fine example of the kindness of Sarcasm…

Sunday night I am preparing the items for the giveaway. I am laying them all out in groups on my dining table. I am giddy with excitement! The 6 year old Irish Dancer Girl comes into the room doing her dance moves. She stops at the table, her eyes grow big and she says (really, really loudly), “Are you putting those hooters in your giveaway?”

I quickly pat down my chest (and I mean all the way to my knees...can you say "L cup...for long?") to make sure my hooters are still attached to my body. Then I realize she’s talking about the owls. Of course, Tween Caveboy cannot help himself...he must interject, “Who’d want to win those?” he snorts. Ah yes, I see Sarcasm has plopped himself on the couch right next to Tween Caveboy.

I huffed, “Well, heck, I don’t know, but someone out there actually might want to win some hooters!” Tween Caveboy pipes up again, “Yeah, Dad would so become a follower of your blog if he could win some hooters!” Real nice influence you have there, Sarcasm.

(Here's a photo of me from my Hooters Days....Chilly, I realize you didn't know I used to work there, but I wanted you to marry me for my brain...by the way, this is my "stop staring at my hooters and order your dang food" look...)

So dear bloggy friends, while I am not offering “those kinds” of hooters in my giveaway, (I know, I can hear you screaming in despair…why????? what? no hooters???) I do have lots of the “wild kingdom” kind of hooters and other fabulous goodies ready for you to win! (Can you say Philosophy? Vera Bradley? Kristen's Custom Creations? And LOTS MORE!)

Today, you can add another entry to the giveaway if you visit Kristen’s Custom Creations and come back to this post to comment about what you like over there! Kristen makes the most amazing jewelry! I love everything she makes!

Here’s a link to the giveaway if you haven’t already had a chance to enter. It’s filled with 20 fabulous prizes! I wish I could enter my own giveaway!

p.s. Most of you know about my issues with Verizon…I am hoping to get this worked out quickly. Please know that if I haven’t been around, it’s because my gigabytes are really limited until the 18th when they re-set. It's driving me crazy not to be able to visit you all every day! I just got them to remove the $500 fees they were charging me for over usage. Chilly, my hero, is offering me up his office computer this weekend so I can stalk the heck out of “all ya’ll! You’re in for it now!!! Mwooohahaha! Thanks for understanding!

Tuesday's Tribute...Heartbeat..It's a Lovebeat

Yet Another Jay and Deb Production. I am paying my Tuesday's Tribute to Chilly. Today we celebrate our first Heartaversary. What is a Heartaversary, you ask? Well, settle in with a cuppa and let me weave a tale of wonder... One year ago today I was pacing the waiting room floor of University Medical Center in Tucson waiting for my husband’s surgeon to inform me if Chilly had survived his triple bypass. I’ll spare you the sordid details of how all this came about. I’ll just say that it was very fast and unexpected. The prospect of losing my spouse in my early 40’s wasn’t in my plan obviously. My plan was more of a “hanging with the kiddos, going to the Renaissance Faire, beating my son at Guitar Hero, driving my husband crazy for decades” kind of plan. But God always has a bigger plan for us. In this case, he was trying to keep Chilly on the planet for a while longer. As I have written before, Chilly has had two very challenging years. He has been a diabetic for a couple of decade
