Mish Mosh Monday Birthday Celebration!

This is how my day started....Remember her?

Well, I found this guy sneaking out of the bathroom right before dawn....(notice I didn't say "crack" of dawn....if I had a nickel for everytime I heard that one!)

Apparently, Edward Cullen sent one of his cronies over to "turn" my dear sweet duckie! Now I'm cool with that, but where the heck was Edward???? I was home all night, Edward! Chilly was in a coma so he wouldn't have been an issue! Sigh.....Ever since I saw this over at Cammie's Life in the House of No Sleep bloggy, I have had hot vamp abs on the brain!

Then I turned on the news and saw that the weather has gone bonkers all over the place! Apparently these two idiots have been messing around AGAIN!

I should have called their mother last time they were wreaking weather havoc all over. Not to worry, I shot off an email to Mother Nature this morning and she's going to straighten these two monkeys out!

I would like to give a special birthday shout out to my dear sweet friend, Barbara Millicent Roberts! She is 50 today! Here's a photo...

I first met Barbara back in the 70's. She had just moved to my neighborhood from Malibu. She and I were fast friends! I spent a huge part of my childhood with her. She was the older, cool girl in town and I was tickled that she wanted to be my friend!

Happy Birthday, Barbie!!! We will be celebrating at your daughter's house today with the rest of your family. (Cat's busy prepping the party house right now. She asked me to share a photo of her progress so far...)

Cat and I baked you two special cakes! (not really, but if we did, this is what they would look like!) Cat "made" this one...

Yes, that is a Barbie cake...they've come a long way, haven't they?! Here's my special Barbie cake (because I love all things Halloween...)

We have a special friend of Catherine's coming to do a fantastic birthday performance for Barbie too! Here she is!

That's right! We are having some Irish dancing at our party!!! Cat is so excited!

Now to celebrate this fantastic birthday, our friend Zen Cupcake is having a FABULOUS Giveaway!!! Here's a taste of what's being offered...

She is giving away four different versions of this goodie from Sephora! Another hint...Juicy Couture perfume!! And there is so much more!!!! You really must go check this one out! It's unbelieveable!

What was your favorite toy from childhood?

Happy Monday!

My goodness, I remember those Barbie cakes! I used to give Barbie a "bath" after we ate the cake to get off all that frosting off her boobs. Hmm, I think I'll make a Ken cake for my son's first b-day!

I heard on my radio show this mornign that they made a barbie with tatoos? Now don't get me wrong I love my tatoos but I'm not sure about it for my young child, just my opinion hope not to start a war. Once a comment of mine on a wedding in Taco Bell started a huge debate.

Hi Dawn--Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and braving the clown--I hope to see you there again!

I love that pic of Barbie--she looks like she might have to visit Dr. 90210!

My fave childhood toys were my baby dolls!

Happy Birthday! (I think). Heat Miser and Mr Freeze are the best. I had the inflatable Barbie furniture. We even created a zip line for our Barbies at my house. We were very progressive like that.

I am still stuck on Edward...cause that picture is Stinkin' hawt.

Yippy for that old barbie....is that real?
You seriously crack me the hell up!

And I didn't know that Barbie was turning 50...guess I should've crawled out from underneath that rock sooner.

Those are just a couple that were in her stable available to ride! (I had more horses than Barbies...LOL)

Ok ... now I have to remember to wear my Depends when I visit your blog! The old Barbie was just too freakin' funny! I love it! And how funny that we both talked about Barbie on the same day -- I talked about killing her in car accidents and you give her a nice party. Humph. I guess Barbie will like you better now!

A Wee Drop of Irish (or Cloudy With a Chance of B*tchy Part 2)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! How about a wee stroll down memory lane?  Thank you to everyone who messaged me about sharing this blast from the past again this year:)  (yes, Maureen...I do read your emails too!)  Even though it was originally posted in 2009, not too much has changed (says Dawn in her "I can't believe I have PMS every single year at this same time"  happy (think Pharrell singing "Happy") voice.  So grab a cup of Irish coffee, Jameson whiskey, Guinness or whatever suits your fancy on this fine St. Patrick's Day and let me share a tale of whimsy with you.  (and may the luck of the Irish be with you if you come my way today!  Don't say I didn't warn you!)

Oops! What's she doing here again? Wasn't she just here a month ago? UGH! The nerve! We had so much "fun" last time she was here, didn't we?

Well, since I have a full day of Irish activities planned, I guess I better be gettin' my Irish on....hmm...let's s…

Chilly Update...

I hate this disease with a passion...more on that in a moment...

First and foremost, there aren't enough words in the English language to convey my most sincere gratitude for the amazing love and support you've all shared with my family. I am completely overwhelmed and very humbled by it all. I've shared all of your comments and emails with Chilly and the kiddos. It has meant so much to us! Thank you, thank you and thank you again!

I wish I could write that Chilly is fine and coming home tomorrow. I wish I could go back to last Friday when every fiber of my being was screaming at me that Chilly was having a heart attack. I wish I would have pinned him to the ground and shoved an aspirin down his throat when he put me off about his symptoms. I wish he would have agreed to go to the ER...Sadly, I can't turn back time...

We were told today that Chilly has suffered a stroke in addition to a heart attack. These two events occured together...meaning, he had the stroke w…
