Do You Like Bald Guys? (and Frankenbang Photos!)

I would like to welcome Catherine back as a guest poster today. She requested that I share photos of the "haircut" with you on "her" blog. (Apparently, she has hijacked my blog.) Before we get to that, be sure to read about the very special hot bald guy we'd like to share with you! Catherine says so!

Before...

After...

There you have it! She wants to share a photo of the new "do" she's going to be sporting over the next few days while performing at Irish festivals all around town.

The new look....Yep, it's a bit "pageant" hair looking and her forehead looks like a watermelon, but she's still gorgeous!

Thank you, Catherine for your awesome guest post! All of this talk the last few days about hair cuts got me thinking about bald guys...

So, do you like bald guys? There are some pretty hot baldies out there these days. Well, there's about to be a new hot baldy on the block! Not only will he be a hot baldy, he will be a generous baldy! And what is better than a hot, generous bald guy?!

You may already know this rockstar. Allow me to make the introductions, if you haven't already had the pleasure...

Jay over at Halftime Lessons will be shaving his head on March 21 to support children's cancer research. He has teamed up with a wonderful organization, St. Baldricks to raise money for this most important cause.

In order to raise loads of money for this most amazing organization, Jay is hosting an amazing contest! Here are a few tantalizing tidbits about the contest!

*Grand Prize Winner #1 gets their blog name written by Jay's wife on his beautiful bald head! A button will be made out of that photo and placed on Jay's blog for 3 months! That's three months of fabulous advertising for your blog, people! He's also throwing in an in-depth review of the winner's blog too!

*Grand Prize Winner #2 will be awarded a gorgeous custom Mommy or Grandma necklace from Kristen over at Kristen's Custom Creations!
And that's just the beginning of the prize booty he's offering over there!!! Clickety on over and check it out! Not only will you have the chance to meet a great guy (I know, lots of you know him already..lol!) and win fabulous prizes, but you will be supporting a most important cause. Our children need us to win this fight. We can do great and powerful things when we all come together.

Go give this bald hottie to be some linky love!

p.s. If you missed the tale of the Frankenbangs, just scroll down to the post below...oh yeah...good times...

She is lovely. Honestly, she could have shaved her hair off and she would still look adorable.

However, if it makes you both feel any better, I have compiled a list of celebrities who rock the bangs:

1) Alyssa Milano
2) Liv Tyler
3) Kelly Ripa

Just look at the great company your little girl is now keeping!

Cute do! And I do love me a bald man (my husband shaves his head, hehe). That is a great thing they are doing.

Oh dear Dawn...don't be so hard on yourself...that you do not deserve any of those "homemade" awards. Cat's hair will grow back, not fast, but quick enough. Such a helper she was. Contrary to popular belief..MOTHERS DO NOT SEE EVERYTHING COMING but you dealt with it like a heroine.....And got another good post out of it. See...positives everywhere

No "heavy" plans for the weekend...not with "Him" there and "Me" here
Just as sweet as I though she would look.

Hope all your dancing is going well. You are one dedicated young lady!!

She certainly has a lot of beautiful hair to look at and forget about the sparse bangs. Honestly I pictured it way worse! In two weeks it'll be back to normal. Good luck in all those performances. I imagine people will be looking at the feet anyways : )

My dad always says the only difference between a good hair cut and a bad hair cut is two weeks. ;o)

LOVE a bald man. Jack keeps his hair buzzed off down to the scalp. Fun to run your hands over. LOL

My 7-yr-old granddaughter has been sporting this same style for the past couple of months. She cut her bangs so short they are just now getting to the length of your daughter's!

Tuesday's Tribute...Heartbeat..It's a Lovebeat

Yet Another Jay and Deb Production. I am paying my Tuesday's Tribute to Chilly. Today we celebrate our first Heartaversary. What is a Heartaversary, you ask? Well, settle in with a cuppa and let me weave a tale of wonder... One year ago today I was pacing the waiting room floor of University Medical Center in Tucson waiting for my husband’s surgeon to inform me if Chilly had survived his triple bypass. I’ll spare you the sordid details of how all this came about. I’ll just say that it was very fast and unexpected. The prospect of losing my spouse in my early 40’s wasn’t in my plan obviously. My plan was more of a “hanging with the kiddos, going to the Renaissance Faire, beating my son at Guitar Hero, driving my husband crazy for decades” kind of plan. But God always has a bigger plan for us. In this case, he was trying to keep Chilly on the planet for a while longer. As I have written before, Chilly has had two very challenging years. He has been a diabetic for a couple of decade
