I'm a Happy Hooker

I have a confession....

I'm a run-away. Now, don't get all worried, family members. I have returned home. I am exhausted, delighted and took up some new hobbies while I was "away." I became a hooker and a stalker.

Don't go all judgemental on me now. Stalking is actually pretty fun! I highly recommend it. I learned a lot on my stalking adventures! I "met" some very nice people (even if they don't really know who I am.) Don't worry...I am weaning myself away from my stalker tendencies. The hooker part is a bit tougher...cause I like it....being hooked, that is...on blogging. Wait a New York minute...did you think? I mean...that I...Puh-lease, people! Get your dirty minds out of the gutter! (That means you, Chilly!)

Blogging is like taking a vacation to a place you never even knew existed, but once you arrive, you never want to leave. I have seen so much creativity, felt so much kindness and have been blown away by all the support fellow bloggers share. I have become inspired...I have laughed...I've cried...I have restored my faith in humanity. I have made new friends...I have felt fulfillment by getting my own words on a page to share with others...I have found the best cupcake blogs!!! (who knew?) I am happily hooked!

If you are like me (a newbie), try clicking on some of the links on my sidebar area. (This in blogland is called "stalking". As a newbie, I am still learning the language!) You will find incredibly moving stories (Bring the Rain, A Journey to our Daughter), funny stories from other bloggy Moms, and fabulous home decorating ideas. (and those are just the links that I have! There is a blog written for just about any topic you can think of! You can probably even find one about toenail clippings..they can be that random! lol!) Click a link and see where you end up! Then follow the links in those blogs to open up more new worlds! You could travel blogland forever!

*Special Mention: Bring the Rain

Please take a moment to read this very moving blog about this family's journey of faith. It is deeply powerful. You can click the link here in the post or click the link in the sidebar. You will see courage as you've never seen it before.

If you decide to become a stalker, please be kind and leave a lovely comment for the blogger. (see the comments at the bottom of each post? click it and a little window pops up and tells you what to do...) It's very nice to let the blogger know you enjoyed your visit. Then you graduate from stalker to crazed fan. After that you become a hooker.

Enjoy your journey!

So, this is what I’ve come to know about blogging in the last 100 days….

A Wee Drop of Irish (or Cloudy With a Chance of B*tchy Part 2)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! How about a wee stroll down memory lane?  Thank you to everyone who messaged me about sharing this blast from the past again this year:)  (yes, Maureen...I do read your emails too!)  Even though it was originally posted in 2009, not too much has changed (says Dawn in her "I can't believe I have PMS every single year at this same time"  happy (think Pharrell singing "Happy") voice.  So grab a cup of Irish coffee, Jameson whiskey, Guinness or whatever suits your fancy on this fine St. Patrick's Day and let me share a tale of whimsy with you.  (and may the luck of the Irish be with you if you come my way today!  Don't say I didn't warn you!)

Oops! What's she doing here again? Wasn't she just here a month ago? UGH! The nerve! We had so much "fun" last time she was here, didn't we?

Well, since I have a full day of Irish activities planned, I guess I better be gettin' my Irish on....hmm...let's s…

For Gigi ... A Letter to Heaven

Today there is a happy celebration in Heaven as it would be my beautiful grandmother Gigi's birthday.  Gigi was definitely the most important influence on my life and it became crystal clear to me how deeply when I was asked to write the eulogy for her memorial service a few years back.  I decided to send a letter directly to God explaining what amazing treasure was on it's way.  It is a letter meant to bring smiles and giggles.  Thanks in advance for allowing me to share that special letter with you today as we honor her memory:)
